When you're thinking about what colours to use, the best and perhaps the easiest way is to ask the woman or girl to tell you what her favourite colours are. It may be that you actually know what her favourite colours are, but what you might not know the very shades of colour she prefers. After all there is a huge difference between light blue and navy. If the girl in question does not have any favourite colour or any preferences, it is often a good option to go for very soft pastel colours such as duck egg blue bedding, pretty bedroom rugs or cheap bedding sets in pretty yellow or pinks.
Floral are always a good option, especially if you're trying to create a romantic look to the room. Think what a dozen red roses will do to the room. Place them on the dresser and make them a real focal point. If you have ever been to a good hotel, you might know that when you get back to your hotel room in the evening, a member of staff has placed a single flower or rose on your bed, near your pillow. Simple touches like these add a touch of femininity to a room. Also pile the bed with cushions and throws made from floral fabrics to bring the floral theme together effortlessly.
